John Paul Pet's One Million Pet Adoptions Campaign: Dogs on Deployment

In the spirit of the company’s mission to promote health, wellness and responsible pet ownership, John Paul Pet is proud to support Dogs on Deployment in a nationwide awareness campaign uniting pets of deployed military personnel with civilian boarder families.

“With the two primary goals of making military personnel of aware of the program and educating the civilian public on how they can help by becoming a boarder, John Paul Pet is determined to increase visibility and awareness of this compassionate, much needed organization,” notes Gina Dial, John Paul Pet VP of Sales & Marketing.

Husband and wife, Shawn and Alisa Johnson, who serve in the US Navy and US Marine Corps, respectively, founded Dogs on Deployment in June 2011. As a dual-military family, they recognized the need for a program like Dogs on Deployment. A national 501(c)(3) non-profit, the organization provides a central network for military members to find volunteers willing to board their pets while they have service commitments. No pet should ever be surrendered to a shelter due to a military commitment.

John Paul Pet supports the Dogs on Deployment mission, to give military members peace of mind concerning their pets during service commitments. The Dogs on Deployment goal is to have boarders located near all major military bases in the United States.

Achieving nationwide attention and accolades, Dogs on Deployment was honored on The Queen Latifah Show, as the founders shared their story, along with the reunion of a cherished pet with soldier upon her return from duty. Dogs on Deployment - The Queen Latifah Show
