Limo Rides! Beautiful Gowns! Dancing the night away! Prom season is here and it's time to start thinking about your beauty look.
Curly hair can be tricky on prom night because you can’t predict the weather or, how much dancing you’ll do throughout the night. Below are several easy prom looks for curly hair inspired by Jennifer Lawrence, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Hayden Panettiere. All of these looks took less than 30 minutes to complete, leaving lots of extra time to spend with your date and friends!
One of the key trends for prom hairstyles in 2013 is the messy bun. This look is super easy to create with curly hair. Keep the front strands curly to make it even easier. No fancy sock bun needed. The easiest way to do this is pin the hair into a bun while leaving a lot of curls hanging to create the messy effect. Tuck your curls over each other in a focal point to keep the hair intact throughout the night. Because this look is a more loose, use a lot of hairspray to keep it held together!
Taylor Swift is notorious for her hairstyles and this look is perfect for prom night. Separate your hair into a front section and back section. Blow dry your hair to have a more side part, then pin the back of your hair into a low bun keeping your curls intact with a serum. In order to achieve the loose, pinned back effect, give your hair an inward curl by taking your hand and pinning the bottom of the cur to the side of your head. Leave a few strands hanging down to add romance to the look.
Prom night is perfect for embracing your voluminous curls! Carrie Underwood's look is a wonderful way to show off your gorgeous locks. Use a sculpting gel when your hair is somewhat damp to get your curls to lay in place. To obtain this look without creating frizz, scrunch your hair from the bottom of the strand while spraying a setting gel in order to avoid frizz. Use a straightener on warm heat to tame down several pieces of your to hair to add dimension to the look.
This look is super easy to crate with curly hair and only takes a few minutes! Start by using a straightening gel to add the waviness and texture to your curls, this also helps to eliminate frizz throughout the night. The easiest way to do this is use a very small clear ponytail holder and put your hair into a super low side pony, leaving some strands loose to create more volume to the look.
