Going Dark for Spring: My Hair Transformation

It's time to debunk the beauty myth that you need to have sun-kissed blonde hair in the springtime! My hair has been many different shades throughout the years but our team at Loxa Beauty started noticing a trend this season: darker hair for springtime. So, I decided to take the plunge and change my hair color from caramel blonde highlights to rich brown hair color for this season.

One thing that I love about trend is it prompts us to think outside the norm of typical beauty myths and try new fun things with their hairstyles. This is especially true if you're changing your hair color throughout the seasons quite frequently.

Overall: I love the richness of color that my stylist was able to achieve with this hair color! I'm very excited to rock the going dark for spring look.

In order to keep this rich brown tone looking fresh until my next coloring, I'll be using a variety of products specially formulated for color treated hair. A few that I highly recommend if you've recently changed your hair color are: Brocato Vibracolor™ Fade Prevent Shampoo & Conditioner, Aquage Color Protecting Conditioner and Paul Mitchell Color Care Color Protect Daily Conditioner.

Are you going to try a dark for spring hair look  this season? If so, tweet us a picture of your before and after looks  @loxabeauty.

For the love of (darker) hair,
