From Pool To Party : 4 Fab Makeup Looks To Try

Summer beauty is all about simple, flirty and fabulous! Your makeup should look fierce, while effortless. We're taking you from pool to party this summer with a few of our favorite looks.

Colorful Eyes

Make your eye color pop with hints of pastel. For the "plain-Janes", keep it simple with a subtle green or sea foam blue. Feeling a little beat? Use a blue eyeliner pencil along your water line to make the white in your eyes appear brighter. We love Sorme Smearproof Eyeliner in Teal and Sorme Mineral Botanicals Eye Shadow in Serenity.

How to get this look :

Use the tip of your flat eyeshadow brush (you can also use a liner brush), to create a line on the top and bottom of your lash line. Next, use a pale shimmer (like theBalm Overshadow Shimmering All-Mineral Eyeshadow in No Money, No Honey) or white gold in the corner of your eyes and underneath your lash line. Finish with mascara on both top and bottom lashes.

Bright Lips

Neon lips are always hot for summer. From red to fuchsia, and even tangerine! Play down your eyes with mascara or a liner + mascara combo. We adore theBalm Girls Lipstick in Mia Moore and Sorme Mineral Botanicals Lip Color in Confection.

How to get this look :

Mute your natural lip color, by applying a little foundation on your lips (it'll also help your color sit longer). Fill in your lips with a bright pink lipliner or lipstick. You can leave your lips matte or finish with a gloss.

Bronzed Beauty

It wouldn't be summer without adding a little bronze, don't ya' think? It's definitely a color that pairs well on everyone. Go wild with the many shades, from rose gold, to brass and even mahogany. Try theBalm's Balm Jovi Rockstar Face Palette which has a multitude of colors including a range of bronzes.

How to get this look :

Using a flat eyeshadow brush, sweep a mahogany bronze all over your lid. Next, circle a dark brown into your crease. Blend and finish with black mascara. Contour your cheeks with a warm bronzer like Sorme Shimmer Glow in Bronzed.

Grunge Liner

You can't really rock out a party without good eyeliner. Go 90's grunge at your next summer festival with this hot trend that's been killing the runway!

How to get this look :

Use a charcoal gray, dark brown or black liner and line your eyes. The goal of this look is messy, so your line does not need to be perfect. Use a smudge brush or liner brush to smudge the liner for a more dramatic effect. We're big fans of theBalm's Mr. Write (Now) Eyeliner Pencil in Dean B. Onyx.
