Buns are a girl's best friend!!  Whether you're running errands at the supermarket, rocking out in the sun at a summer concert, or walking the aisle at your BFF's wedding, this classic style keeps things simple and feminine while effortlessly pulling hair off of your neck and out of your eyes.  Great for keeping cool in hot weather and for polishing off your look, the timeless ballerina just became even easier with the help of... a sock!

If you caught Loxa Beauty's very own Danielle McDowell on IndyStyle last week sharing tips for hot weather hairstyles, you may have noticed that she was rocking "the sock bun".  Made famous by the Kardashians, Danielle loves the sock bun for its simplicity and summertime convenience.  And, she promises that even girls with shorter hair or layers can pull it off, instantly making hair look longer, thicker, and and sleeker.

To rock your own sock bun, simply:

1.  Cut the toe off of a tube sock (or more, if your hair is short)

2.  Roll the sock into a doughnut shape

3.  Slip your sock doughnut over the tip of a ponytail

4.  Roll the sock all the way down the length of your pony, tucking hair in as you go

5.  Secure with bobby pins or an eastic.
