Hot Trend: Leather Hair Accessories

Leather is back in a serious way. Did you just cringe? Don't worry - I did too, but only until I realized that the fashion gods finally answered my prayers with a leather trend that doesn't require squeezing into! Leather has found its way to hair this season, and we couldn't be more excited. This time around, the look of leather doesn't have the typical biker feel; instead, it is sleek and sophisticated with just the right amount of edginess. Here are a few of our favorite ways to rock the look:

The Ponytail
The ponytail has come a long way in recent years and is no longer reserved for hitting the gym or lazy Sundays around the house. Whether you are wearing it sleek and low for work or sky-high for a Friday night out, a leather wrap is a must-have accessory. Tired of your typical ponytail? Check out these ideas for spicing it up.
Take a simple leather string and knot it in a low ponytail for a casual, daytime feel.

For a sexy evening look, choose a patent leather wrap and bring the pony up higher.
Headband
Who doesn't love a great headband? It is such a simple way to take a look from ordinary to polished in seconds. This fall, be sure to add a leather headband, like this knotted Christopher Kane for Catwalk by TIGI, to your list of go-to hair accessories.
Turban
We recently saw which first lady was responsible for making the turban trend popular, and this fall you can be part of it by wearing one made of leather. Rachel Zoe, the famous stylist to the stars, is no stranger to sporting the turban. Here she is showing us how to make the look appropriate for the colder seasons.
Hats
Ever since Jennifer Aniston got together with bad boy Justin Theroux, the leather in her wardrobe seems to have doubled. Here she is showing off a sexy fedora with a leather band, reminding us that even on those bad hair days you don't have to sacrifice having fierce style. And besides being a really easy hair accessory, hats also help to protect your hair from cold weather!
Now that you don't have to hit the gym in order to sport this popular trend, we want to hear what creative ways you are planning to add leather to your hair repertoire!
For the love of hair,
Courtney
