What do Orlando Bloom, David Beckham, Brad Pitt, and Charlie Hunnam have in common? Well, besides being ridiculously good looking - they are all supporters of the male ponytail!
Not all male ponytails are created equally. In fact, there are many variations of the male ponytail. Let's take a look at a few of the most popular styles.
The Short Pony: Chris Hemsworth
The most popular style right now is probably the short pony. Thor star Chris Hemsworth rocks a slicked back and short ponytail that makes the ladies swoon. Chord Overstreet from Glee was recently on Ellen representing a short male ponytail too!
The High Pony: David Beckham
Male athletes are no stranger to the male ponytail. Soccer star (and certified heartthrob) David Beckham often sports a high ponytail on and off the field! Bradley Cooper has also been seen in a shaggy, high ponytail too. Seriously though- how cute is that little, high ponytail? Most guys can't make this look work!
The Bun: Charlie Hunnam
Every good ponytail needs a style. And Charlie Hunnam gives his ponytail some character by putting it into a messy bun. You win, Charlie. You win.
The Long Pony: Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt is probably the most famous (and long lasting) supporter of the male ponytail. Brad has been spotted with a ponytails of all lengths and styles throughout the years, but he is most often seen with a longer or medium length ponytail.
The Double Pony: Snoop Dogg
What's better (or worse depending on your ponytail preference) than one ponytail? TWO! For as long as I can remember, Snoop Dogg has always styled his hair in double (or more) ponytail braids.
Personally, I think with the right blend of confidence, the perfect haircut / length, and styling products, guys can absolutely rock the male ponytail!
